When buying a 1/4, 1/2, or whole cow, you can expect to get a wide variety of cuts--steaks, roasts, ground beef, and more. When the meat is processed this way, it is vacuum-packed, labeled, and frozen to be ready to go straight into your freezer!
How much is a 1/4 or 1/2 cow?
A 1/4 cow, after processing, generally weighs an average of 120 lbs. which requires about 3-4 cubic feet of freezer space. That is 240 lbs. and 7-8 cubic feet, respectively, for a 1/2 cow.
The options here include only the deposit. Ordering 1/4, 1/2, or whole beef is based on the weight after processing, which we don't know until delivery. The deposit is non-refundable, but is subtracted from the total you'll pay at pick-up/delivery.
