FARM PRODUCTS AND PRODUCE

Lucille_Mohair.jpg

MOHAIR, WOOL, AND YARN

Our mohair come from our dear Angora goat, Lucille. Hopefully we'll have more joining her soon! Her fleece gets processed and spun into yarn at the Mora Valley Spinning Mill. We also sell churro wool yarn, and have some for fiber for felting and other projects. All of our yarn is single-ply, and is either a rug weight or a blanket weight. We have some natural colors, and some are dyed with locally foraged plants. We hope you like it!

GOAT DAIRY PRODUCTS

Our dairy goats are Nigerian Dwarf Goats, a breed whose milk is richer and sweeter than other goat milk. We sell chèvre here at the farm, as well as through local vendors and other farms. We also sell milk through a herd share program. All dairy products are raw.
We strive to provide the healthiest products possible to you! We also try to support other local producers, and collectively work toward healthier land management practices for Taos County agriculture.

FRESH EGGS

We're proud to have some of the most beautifully colorful eggs around! Our hens are healthy and happy, and come in breeds and colors as diverse as the eggs they lay. Even with a flock of over 60 hens, we can almost never keep up with demand, so don't hesitate to check ahead for availability. We also have hatching eggs for both African geese and chickens available in the spring, and sometimes sell barnyard mix chicks and goslings. Goose eggs are available seasonally, as geese only lay about 30 eggs each year.

VEGETABLES

At 8000 ft. and in a desert, our growing season is extremely short, the sun is incredibly intense, and water is a precious resource. We are excited to offer a seasonal CSA program to provide locally grown produce to our community.
